In this piece I decided to use a wide range of colours with gold accents, in a bid to push my collection into a brighter direction using orange and green, as well as highlights of my usual blues and pinks. When close up you can see the many of layers of different colours and experimental marks, from a distance the colours and marks merge to create depth, whilst it is a smaller painting than many others of mine I feel the layers of colour allow it to have great impact. The gold leaf accents I have used in this piece encourage the light feeling to bounce around the room, the piece has become another favourite of mine because of how versatile it is with home decor themes and spaces.
